The Special Assistant to the Minister of Health on Media and Communication, Dan Nwomeh took to twitter to share some of the statements the minister made during a press conference held earlier today Sept. 8th. If there are 19 comfirmed Ebola cases with 7 deaths & 10 survivors, then how come we now have only patient under treatment? Obviously, these doctors didn't do arithmetic in primary school!!!

these people are just foolish liars. How can dey say some pple in Ph have been discharged afta completing 21days surveillance. its not even up to 21days dat d PH doctor died. ur facts dont add up

I dn't understand, managed and discharged?

Anonymous said...

This is contradicting..Only One(1) patient and we have new confirmed case, is that not meant to be 2???

Anonymous said...

ONE SPOKESPERSON PLEASE
I think the Minister of Health should be the only spokesperson on this EDV effort. I don't think a multiplicity of sources should be encouraged. This issue is too serious for that.

21 days since contact was made. Some people made contact with him days before he died so their 21 days might be complete :)

Thank you, Lord. Wait first o, dis sister when dem discharge so, nor be she first run go Abia state to go give other people the ebola? Now when she don well and she nor transfer the ebola to other people, is she not a happy person? Rubbish when Oluibukun Koye cause.

Nigeria is doing well in the Ebola management area. The bad thing however, is how they are announcing peoples names even while they are still under treatment. There is too much stigmatization in Nigeria. Even after they have been discharged, people will still keep them at arms length. A good case in point is the late Justina's fiancee.
Please honourable minister and commissioner, all you need to say is one case isolated or discharged. You don't need to go into specifics. Allow these people to live normal lives after their discharge. It's not their fault that they got infected.
